The Weekend

It’s Saturday finally. I can finally relax and not have to do any more coding till Monday. I thought everyone would like to see a photograph of what it looks like outside my office window.

Javascript Date Calendar Work

In recent weeks I have been doing more projects involving the use of Javascript. I most recently implemented a dual date calendar to allow the current month and next month to be shown. It took alot of work to get going but I finally got it working. I got this particular project working by thoroughly reading and understanding the related Javascript of a few hundred lines of code. I also tweaked it and tested it extensively until it worked.

If you ever get stuck on a programming task the best piece I can advice you like I tell my friends (and sometime coworkers tell me) “just Google it”. Really most programming issues have been done before and all you usually need to do is look for the information you need and usually you can find it. That’s not always foolproof though. You need to figure out how to make the examples work within the constraints of your application.

I was at work today showing my coworker my blog and my friend suggested I discuss various projects that I’ve worked on. That was a fantastic idea. Within the next few days I will be discussing some of the various types of projects I have worked on and the challenge of working on those projects.
