Beowulf Cell Phone Java Game

I think I’m getting addicted to looking at games programmed in Java. Here is a game called Beowulf that’s for cell phones. It looks pretty impressive graphic wise. Java again never ceases to amaze with what it can do when the right programmers get involved.

JavaOne 2008: Java Games & Project Darkstar

This is a game that was showcased at JavaOne 2008 called Project Darkstar. This is a pretty impressive game that shows just what type of games Java is capable of with the right tools. Java has really come along way in it’s capabilities since I first learned it back in 2000.

Explaining Your Tech Problems

I’ve been a computer programmer for a few years now and have learned a lot of different things throughout my career. Not all of these issues are as obvious to the new programmer as to the more experienced programmer like me. The one issue that I will be discussing is the importance of explaining your tech problems. As a computer IT professional eventually you will need to consult others for help on a issue that you’ve done your best to solve it yourself.

Discussing a complicated technical problem with someone isn’t always the easiest thing to do. I know I’ve been there many times. Part of it is lack of understanding of companies system the other part is just confusion. It helps that when you ask for help or consult others that you state your question as specific and clearly as possible. This piece of advice alone will save a ton of hassle. It will also help to reduce confusion and misunderstanding on exactly what the problem is.

I hope that this piece of advice helps all new programmers and IT professionals out there. If you can work on improving on how you ask technical questions you will save a ton of time and frustration .
